K. S. Brooks has been a writer and award-winning
photographer for over twenty years.
Her feature articles, poetry, and photography have appeared in magazines,
newspapers,
books and other publications both in the U.S. and abroad.
She was born in New York City into a family of
classical artists…and to a former Army Counterintelligence Agent. As early as she can remember, Brooks spent hours
glued to
television shows like "The Avengers, "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," and "I Spy,"
nurturing her aptitude for espionage and adventures of intrigue.
Chronic illnesses plagued her as a child, often leaving her isolated and
home alone. It was then writing truly became Brooks’ outlet. Putting pen
to paper she wrote story after story.
By fifteen she had written her first full-length screenplay, and its novel
counterpart.
This 17th Century historical adventure fiction was a labor of love and
research. To this day, Brooks believes in the responsibility of
accurately portraying details through painstaking research and real life
experience. It is those experiences, as well as her intrinsic talent
at stealth tactics, which have advanced into the Agent Night Adventure
Series.
Brooks is nearly as paradoxical as her creation, Agent Night. She can
delicately paint pictures with words, or a camera, but equally enjoys
shooting with a gun. "I've been to Orlando four times, and to Shooting
Sports (a touted commercial shooting facility) each trip." She
smiles. "Never made it to Disney."
Recently, Brooks left her career in the Boston high-tech arena for the
Chesapeake Bay
where she cruises the countryside in her red turbo convertible pursuing her
photography,
and researching ideas for future Agent Night adventures.
